“Every one of our members and their families have benefitted from healthcare services provided at Timmins and District Hospital,” stated Ray Rivest, Grand Knight, Chevaliers de Colomb, Conseil Ramore #8622.

“Even though our members are from Holtyre, Matheson, Ramore and Val Gagné, we have always considered ourselves as part of the community of Timmins,” continued Rivest. “We also want to promote unity among service clubs throughout the district and raise awareness about service clubs outside of Timmins who contribute to the community whether it be with charitable donations, volunteer hours, employment, retail and hospitality revenue, etc.,” added Rivest.

We are very grateful to the members of the Chevaliers de Colomb, Conseil Ramore #8622 for choosing Timmins and District Hospital as beneficiary of this generous $10,000 donation,” stated Janna Burke, TADH Foundation Executive Director. “We commend this francophone service group’s hard work and dedication to the Timmins Gaming Centre/Bingo Association and the communities they serve,” added Burke.

About Timmins and District Hospital Foundation

From the James Bay coast to Engleheart, from Hearst to Kirkland Lake, Timmins and District Hospital is the beating heart of a vast, beautiful and vibrant region. We hold the well-being of over 115,000 people in our hands...and they, in turn, hold our fate in theirs.

As the largest hospital in Northeast Ontario, TADH is poised on the brink of a new era in healthcare for this region. To meet the growing and changing needs of the families we serve, the facilities and equipment of our hospital must be renewed. Not years from now, but now.

Outdated, cramped, with an aging building and obsolete equipment, TADH is long past due for a revitalization that will enable us to take our District’s healthcare into the future.
