Paul Savard’s grade four students at W. Earle Miller Public School are learning all about the food chain by dissecting barn owl pellets.

These owls swallow small rodents whole, and the resulting pellets generally contain the complete skeletons of their prey.

With the bit of detective work they have done, the students received a great deal of information about the bird, and the food chain.
