Santa Claus is coming to town this weekend.

Timmins' 30th annual Santa Claus Parade hits the streets this Saturday.

Here's what you need to know about the family-friendly fun hosted by the Downtown Timmins BIA and Timmins Chamber of Commerce:

The basics

The parade starts Saturday, Nov. 16 at 6 p.m., and this year's theme is Songs of Christmas.

Route

The action starts near the Timmins Police Station on Spruce Street and heads north to Algonquin. From there it heads west for a block then goes south on Pine Street to Third Avenue. The floats tour through downtown on Third to Mountjoy Street. The end of route is at Caisse Populaire.

Parking

There is no on-street parking along the parade route starting at 4 p.m. on parade day. Parking will not be allowed at all that day in the marshalling area near the police station, and near the library on 2nd Avenue.

What to bring

Donations for the food bank and Socks Timmins will be collected along the route. If you already have a Christmas list, look for the Canada Post Walking Mailboxes to mail your letter to Santa.
