Timmins residents will get the first chance to buy tickets for the 2018 Stars and Thunder music festival tomorrow.
The second instalment of the eight-day festival has Canadian rocker Bryan Adams headlining a show on Canada Day, which will also feature Our Lady Peace, Matthew Good and Sons of Maxwell. The festival kicks off June 24 with Eric Lapointe, with some of the other main acts throughout the week being Paul Brandt, Colin James, Marianas Trench, and the Beach Boys.
An exclusive pre-sale for Timmins residents opens at 9 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 16 when tickets will be available online at www.starsandthunder.com or in person at the Archie Dillon Sportsplex from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Friday, Nov. 17 ticket sales open up to everyone else online. After Nov. 16, tickets can be purchased in person at city hall during regular business hours.
Early-bird prices are in effect until April 30. Until then, an eight-day general admission pass is $275 and an eight-day VIP pass is $450. Individual day tickets are also available, with the cost varying depending on the day.
People buying a ticket on the first two days of the ticket sale will be entered to win one of 10 meet and greet packages. The winners will get to select the artist based on the order that the names are drawn. Anyone buying tickets on these days will also be entered to win one of 25 free festival T-shirts.
