Northern Ontario Expo is pleased to announce its 6th annual return to Timmins this May 7 and 8, 2016 at the Archie Dillon Sportsplex and Arena.
A unique event to Timmins, Northern Ontario Expo will be hosting days of sci-fi, pop-culture and related media.
The Northern Ontario Expo is a not for profit organization with the mission of enriching artistic lives by assisting like-minded individuals who gather and connect on a personal level in this genre.
Through face-to-face interaction, panels, presentations and seminars, our talent will be given a platform to engage and share their various skills and knowledge to the next generation of artists.
The organizing committee, with Galactic Productions Inc., is very pleased to actress Marina Sirtis (Star Trek, Gargoyles, Young Justice) to our May 2016 show.
Marina will be available on both May 7 and 8 for autographs and photo ops.
Northern Ontario Expo 2016 will also feature, in partnership with NAPA Autoparts and Expertech Auto, the 1966 Batmobile.

2015 saw the addition of featured Pretty Wreck Cosplay and the 501st Canadian Garrison.
“In our sixth year, we’ve invited the very popular 501st Canadian Garrison and Pretty Wreck Cosplay to return to our show,” said Marie-Josee Lapierre, Vice President for Northern Ontario Expo. “This year, we’ve expanded our Cosplay Corner and have invited Cosplay artists Atlas Cosplay, Nikko Marie Cosplay, Voidshift Cosplay, The Brampton Ironman and Candy Cosplay. Each Cosplayer is very excited to share their tips and costuming stories with everyone.”
Artist Alley will feature artists, crafters and authors from across the province, as well as international artists. Each will have their art on display and available for purchase.
The 2016 show will also feature a Kids Zone, the return of the Best Buy Gaming Zone, the annual Costume Contest, as well as panels and workshops.
And we can’t forget to mention the vendors market which will feature exhibitors selling items relating to comics, anime and other pop culture wares.
