ST. MARY'S GARDENS

On Sept. 19, at 9:30 a.m., St. Mary’s Gardens Seniors Speakers Series invites seniors to come out and play with technology.

“As a senior, it’s important to stimulate your mind,” said Micheline Fleury, administrator at St. Mary’s Gardens. “This session with Antoine Garwah from Science Timmins will do just that.”

Garwah will demonstrate technology that facilitates tasks and chores and show how to adopt technology. The session includes presentations on techno-hobby, kitchen techno, and 3D printing.

Then, simple hands-on activities will stimulate the mind. Participants will leave with better understanding of common technologies and samples of projects built during the hands-on part of the session.

Seniors, family members, and caregivers are invited to attend. Admission is free. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. Seating is limited.

People wishing to attend can RSVP to Dawna Carrier, St. Mary’s Gardens community relations coordinator, at [email protected] or (705) 267-5000, ext. 8006.

St. Mary’s Gardens entrance and parking are located on Pine Street North across from the 101 Mall. Additional parking is available at the 101 Mall.

St. Mary’s Gardens will feature different speakers every three to four weeks, covering a variety of topics from financial and estate planning to fraud prevention and health.
