Snow depth and water content conditions continue to remain above normal in the area.

According to the Mattagami Region Conservation Authority's watershed update, the water content variances are 152 to 212 per cent above normal in the Upper Mattagami Watershed.

In the coming days, the organization is expecting a general freeze-thaw cycle, except Thursday night when temperatures stay slightly above freezing.

For winter drawdowns, they are complete at Mesomikenda, Mattagami Lake, Wawaltin and Peter Long.

"The dams are currently set up to hold elevation near the bottom of the operating range until refilling begins later in April. As a result of sustained cool weather, inflows are lower than normal for this time of year but have recently begun to show signs of increase at some locations," reads the update.

Staff are also keeping an eye on area creeks.

Town Creek between Waterloo Road and Rea Street North is an area of concern, as well as the enclosed portion of Crawford Creek in South Porcupine.
