Snow squall watch issued for:

  • Timmins - Cochrane - Iroquois Falls
  • Gogama - Foleyet
  • Kirkland Lake - Englehart

Current details: 

Brief, intense snowfall is expected to develop.

Under the snow squall, visibilities will be significantly reduced due to the heavy snow combined with blowing snow.

A brief, but intense band of snow may develop along a sharp cold front late this morning or this afternoon. Under the snow squall, visibilities will be significantly reduced due to heavy snow combined with blowing snow.

A quick few centimetres of snow will be possible as the band moves through.

Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common.

Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero.
