TOWN OF SMOOTH ROCK FALLS

The community of Kashechewan declared an emergency due to a high risk of flooding on the Albany River on April 27, 2016.
The Town of Smooth Rock Falls has now declared an emergency as of May 2, 6 p.m. in support of the Kashechewan First Nation’s precautionary evacuation and will be receiving evacuees as of this afternoon.
The Town of Smooth Rock Falls will accommodate up to 115 residents starting this afternoon and will be lodged at the local hotel.
The Town of Smooth Rock Falls is currently working with community partners and service providers.
