Tim Hortons

It’s Smile Cookie season at Tim Hortons! Enjoy a sweet treat and help out the DARE program in Timmins. If you want to order a special treat for the office or friends, you call one of the local stores to place an order. The cookies are $1 each.

Josee Miljours, regional elder abuse consultant, is talking about different types of abuse and will provide information on how to protect yourself by staying informed and knowing your rights. Accessible taxi service awareness

Third Avenue, near the seniors’ centre

The Municipal Accessibility Advisory Committee will have an accessible minivan on display downtown Timmins. The goal is to drum up public support to show local taxi companies that there is a demand for the service.

Felted Bag Workshop

Sept. 20 and 27, 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Timmins Museum

Build and create your own felted bag with merino wool in this two-day workshop. The cost is $45 and includes all supplies. Contact the museum at 705-360-2617.
