Looking for something to do this weekend?

From spring shopping to big air, here are seven things to do this weekend in the Timmins area.

1) Spring Bazaar

Friday, March 23 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Timmins and District Hospital promenade

Bake sale, gift basket, raffles, crafts, books, and gift shop. Hosted by the Timmins and District Hospital Auxiliary.

2) Spring Vendor and Bake Sale

Saturday, March 24, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Paroisse Notre Dame de la Paix Parish

A variety of vendors will be set up for the annual show. 

3) Kamiskotia Big Air and Rail Jam

Saturday, March 24

Kamiskotia Snow Resort

The big air competition kicks off at noon, with the rail jam at 2 p.m. For details on how to register, visit kamiskotia.com.

4) Pyansky and Tea

Saturday, March 24, 1 - 3 p.m.

Timmins Museum: National Exhbition Centre

Ukrainian egg-decorating workshop for ages 10 and up. All children must be accompanied by an adult. The cost is $10 plus HST in advance.

5) Fun with Science

Saturday, March 24, 2 p.m.

Timmins Public Library

A Science Timmins presentation with hands-on challenges. It's a free, bilingual, drop-in event.

6) Monthly breakfast

Sunday, March 25, 9 a.m. – noon

St. Anthony’s Church Hall, 274 Fifth Ave.

The Knights of Columbus Council 12859 is hosting its monthly breakfast. The cost is $7 for adults, $4 for children five to 12 years, and children four and under eat free. A new to you table will also be set up. People can pick up items on the table for a free-will offering, with the proceeds going to the Knights of Columbus.

7) Easter Tea

Sunday, March 26, 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.

Porquis Agricultural Hall

Hosted by the Porquis Agricultural Society, there will be a bake table, penny table, cleaning hamper, gardening hamper and door prizes. The cost is $5 for adults, $2 for kids ages six to 10, and free for ages five and under.
