A Porcupine church is helping people deal with grief heading into the holidays.

GriefShare is a two-hour session offering practical suggestions and reassurance through video interviews with counsellors, grief experts and other people who have experience the holidays after a loved one's death.

"Topics to be discussed include dealing with hard-hitting emotions, what to do about traditions, how to survive social events, and where to find comfort and strength," reads the news release.

There are two ways to participate.

An online session is being held via Zoom on Sunday, Nov. 29 from 7 to 9 p.m..

There will be an in-person session Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. at Bible Fellowship Assembly, 207 Lawrence St. Seating is limited and COVID-19 restrictions are in place. Masks are required.

Pre-registration is required. People attending receive a survival guide with practical tips, encouraging words, journalling ideas, and exercises to help during the holiday season.

Bible Fellowship Assembly has covered the cost of the course material. Participants are welcome to give thanksgiving donation to the church.
