C.M. Shields Centennial Library, South Porcupine

The library has received seed donations and now needs your help to process and label seeds for future planting. Learn about seed saving and share your gardening experiences.

Local Author Fair

Thursday, Nov. 8, 6 – 8 p.m.

Timmins Public Library

Meet with authors, learn about the writing process and publishing experience, and buy copies of their work. It will feature Alexandre Gagnon, Daphne Wallbridge, Davis Dewsbury, Janelle and Josee Berthiaume, Jessica Fizell, Kevin Vincent, Lysette Brochu, and Monique Chenier.

FUNraiser in support of Kirsten’s brain tumour

Friday, Nov. 9, 9 p.m.

The Working Class

There will be live music from Tory Holmes, Bobby Allen, Celine Cormier Music, Lisa A. Froment, Wyatt Young, and more. All proceeds are for Kirsten Jurek fighting a cancerous brain tumour. Tickets are $25 at the door, or $20 in advance.

World War 2 Scale Models by Lorenzo Jalbert will be on display at the Timmins Museum until Nov. 15. Stop by during museum hours to see the mechanized models and dioramas of ships, tanks, and airplanes from the Second World War. The exhibition is being held in the program room and the artist will also be there.
