A section of Haileybury Crescent will be closed for construction this week.

The road will be closed between Lover's Lane and Goldrush Street from Friday, Aug. 6 at noon to Sunday, Aug. 8 at 11:59 p.m.

The closure is to allow for the replacement of the Bob's Creek culvert.

Access to the Whitney cemetery (Dead Man's Point) is via Goldrush, according to the City of Timmins.

In May, Timmins council awarded Belanger Construction a $441,772 contract to replace culverts at Bob's Creek and Langmuir Road.

The Bob's Creek work is near Haileybury Crescent where the creek drains into Porcupine Lake.

The existing corrugated steel pipe culverts are at end of life. The four pipes will be replaced with two, 1,000-mm corrugated steel pipe culverts.
