KIRKLAND LAKE – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police Kirkland Lake Detachment along with assistance of the North East Region Canine Unit and the Kirkland Lake Crime Unit have charged a man with drug offences.
The charges stem from the investigation of illegal drug related activities in the Kirkland Lake area.
It culminated with the execution of a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence on Government Road West in Kirkland Lake.
Seized as a result of the investigation were prescription pills, cannabis marijuana and cash.
The estimated value of the seizure is $3,200.
The incident occurred at approximately 3 p.m. on December 7, 2015.
Charged is Stephen HUFFMAN age 52 of Kirkland Lake with possession for the purpose of trafficking - cannabis marijuana and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Kirkland Lake on January 28, 2016.
