TIMMINS – Science Timmins will host the 19th Regional Science Olympics Competition on Friday, October 25, 2013 at Timmins High & Vocational School. The competition will run from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM. The purpose of this event is to participate in Science games, have fun and make friends.
Eighty-one teams of four students are registered for this event : 26 Novice, 24 Junior, 15 Intermediate and 16 Senior. The teams, a total of 324 students represent schools from across Northeastern Ontario; the teams come from Kapuskasing, Cochrane, Iroquois Falls, Kirkland Lake, Temiskaming Shores and Timmins.
The Award Ceremony will be held in the Bill Dawson Auditorium, T.H.&V.S. at 2:00 PM.
Each student will receive a t-shirt and certificate.
There will be trophies and medals and prizes given to the winning teams.
