FOLEYET – On February 25, 2016, the Foleyet Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Highway 101 approximately 12 kilometres east of Foleyet.
The investigating officer stopped the vehicle for a Highway Traffic Act offence (HTA).
As a result of the investigation, it was revealed that the driver had drugs inside the vehicle.
The driver, Samuel Beaudry-Rheaume, 22, of Mirabel, Quebec has been charged with the following offences:
- Possession of Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA);
- Possession of Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking –Cannabis resin contrary to the (CDSA);
- Possession of Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cannabis marijuana contrary to the (CDSA); and with
- Careless Driving contrary to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario (HTA).
He is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins on March 12, 2016.
