The Ontario government has extended the provincial Declaration of Emergency to July 15.

The legislature approved the move today.

The declaration was previously extended to June 30. This extension will allow for the government to make and amend emergency orders and support front-line healthcare workers as regions gradually reopen and loosen restrictions.

In a news release issued today, Ford's government has said it will continue to monitor the public health situation on an ongoing basis to determine whether the declaration needs to be extended further.

A full list of emergency orders can be found on the e-Laws website under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act and at Ontario.ca/alert.
