The Timmins Police Service is issuing a traffic advisory in regards to a road closure affecting Laforest Road. Laforest Road is closed between Hwy 655 and Mclean Drive for the next few hours due to a motor vehicle collision involving a propane tanker vehicle.
The collision occurred at approximately 2:35 p.m. this afternoon with no injuries sustained by any involved person.
The public should expect significant delays in this area The public is asked to use alternate routes and not to attend the area to better allow for emergency crews to attend to the situation at hand. The Timmins Police Service and the Timmins Fire Department are at the scene assessing the situation. An Emergency Response Team is currently enroute to the scene.
There is no immediate threat to anyone or any property in the affected area. This road closure is a deemed necessary as a public safety precautionary measure.
