Potential COVID-19 exposure, workplace outbreak at Earlton business (updated)

There is a workplace outbreak and potential COVID-19 advisory at an Earlton business.

Seven new COVID-19 cases are also being reported in the Timiskaming Health Unit region today.

The outbreak is at Green Tractors, 271429 Poupore Rd.

Anyone who visited the business between Monday, April 12 and Monday, April 19 should self-monitor for symptoms, according to the Timiskaming Health Unit. 

"If symptoms develop, reach out to your local assessment centre for testing. You do not have to go for testing if you do not have symptoms," reads the bulletin. 

People unsure if they should be tested can call the health unit at 1-866-747-4305 ext. 7.

For the seven new cases, one is in the Kirkland Lake area, one is in the central part, which includes Englehart and Earlton, and five are in the southern part that includes New Liskeard and Temagami.

To date in the Timiskaming Health Unit region there have been 151 confirmed cases of the virus. Of those, 129 are resolved and two people have died. There are 20 known active cases.
