The Timmins Police Service would like to remind residents about the dangers of individuals taking medication which has not been prescribed to them.

This public safety message stems from a break and enter which was reported to police on the morning of January 24, 2014. Unknown suspects entered a downtown area pharmacy through the roof and took various items, including prescription medication.

Taking unprescribed medication for recreational purposes is very dangerous, as dosage and effects on different individuals is variable and unknown. The public is reminded never to take medication that was not prescribed to them.
