A black lab mix is still missing

Police are asking for the public's help after a dog was shot in Cochrane.

According to Cochrane District Crime Stoppers, the incident happened Saturday, Feb. 8 when the owner of three dogs let them outside at night, but they didn't return like they normally do. 

"At 6 a.m. the following morning they found one dog at their door in a skittish state. They later located their three-year-old golden retriever mix on their property injured. It appears that sometime overnight someone shot and injured this dog in the area of Dunn Lake in Cochrane. The third dog is still missing," reads the Crimes Stoppers report. 

Police believe the golden retriever mix Cooper was shot with a small calibre firearm. A four-month-old black lab mix named Diesel is still missing.
