Police looking for driver who failed to remain at collision

The Timmins Police Service is requesting assistance from the public in identifying a vehicle and driver involved in a fail to remain collision on Nov. 13, 2017. The collision occurred at approximately 7:25 p.m., at the intersection of Cameron Street South and Belanger Avenue.

Reports indicate that a vehicle travelling Eastbound on Belanger Avenue failed to stop at the stop sign, striking another vehicle travelling through the intersection on Cameron Street South.

Three individuals sustained injuries as a result of the collision. Police are looking to identify a vehicle and driver that failed to remain at the scene of the collision. The vehicle police are looking to locate in regards to this collision is a light-coloured pick-up truck. As well, the make and model are not known.

The Timmins Police Service is appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision, as well as any businesses or residents in the area who may be able to provide surveillance video or images of the incident or suspect vehicle.

Additionally, any local body/auto repair shops who may have worked on or come in contact with the above-described vehicle are asked to contact the Timmins Police Service at 705-264-1201.
