Police investigating theft of ATV, industrial tools, and more from local saw mill

Two break-ins occurred in the month of October, both matters remain open investigations

The Timmins Police Service is seeking public assistance in regards to a series of thefts which occurred at a local business in October of 2018.

The Timmins Police Service actively investigated thefts from a Normand Street saw mill in Timmins where the following items were stolen on or about Oct. 17:

  • Quantity of copper wire
  • Stihl chainsaw
  • Welding unit
  • Various other industrial tools

A second break-in occurred at the same location later that month where the following items were taken:

  • Quantity of copper wire
  • Green 2017 Polaris Sportsman 6x6 ATV

Both these matters remain open investigations with the Timmins Police Service. Anyone with viable information is asked to contact the Timmins Police Service directly and ask to speak with an officer from the Criminal Investigations Division or to call the Crime Stoppers tip line at 1-800-222-8477 to provide information anonymously.
