Police are investigating a fire at the Grandview Hotel in Schumacher. Officers from the Timmins Police Service’s Criminal Investigation Section and Forensic Identification Section attended the scene on March 8 as requested by the Timmins Fire Department.
The scene is being held by the Timmins Police Service as officers continue to investigate. The Ontario Fire Marshall’s office is on scene to conduct an investigation as well.
The fire occurred during the early morning hours of March 8, 2018, and caused extensive smoke and water damage. Fortunately no injuries were sustained. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
