Polar Bear Express derails south of Moosonee

The Polar Bear Express passenger train has derailed south of Moosonee. 

According to Ontario Northland, the incident happened today (May 30) on a southbound train 24 miles south of Moosonee. There were 80 passengers and crew on board at the time.

"Our emergency response plan has been initiated and there are no reported serious injuries. We are in the process of arranging transportation for passengers to Cochrane or Moosonee. We will continue to provide updates until service is restored," reads the notice.
