Community safety advisory — Parking on Cedar
We would like to remind residents that parking is not permitted under any circumstance across the street from the Fire Station on Cedar Street South.
This area is clearly marked a no parking zone, but unfortunately, people still choose to park or idle in this area.
Our Timmins Firefighters have encountered instances where their larger trucks could not safely leave or exit because of a vehicle in this no parking area.
Now that winter has arrived, and the streets become narrower, it is sometimes impossible for personnel to respond to emergency calls.
Please keep this area clear, allowing our emergency personnel to respond to calls in a timely fashion.
We greatly appreciate everyone’s understanding and cooperation in this matter.
