Since 2016, local business owner Reilly Heffernan of O’Reilly Sports has been giving back to his community in so many ways. He’s not only a sports enthusiast, he is also a philanthropist.  In addition to supporting various sports teams he also has an ongoing fundraiser dedicated to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation. Reilly has produced a cycling jersey.

Reilly Heffernan, owner/operator explains, “we are expanding our sporting goods selection with cycling and creating a jersey was a natural fit. I decided to take it a step further with the proceeds from the sale of these jerseys going to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation.”

“We never underestimate the power of our local independent businesses; their passion for success drives the spirit to help their community. The Foundation is grateful for the support we get from our business community” stated Barb McCormick. “Many do not realize the government does not fund equipment purchases or capital improvements. Your generous support will help to provide the residents of Northeastern Ontario the patient care they deserve.”

The TADHF is an accredited charity, formed to support the Timmins and District Hospital by raising funds for medical equipment, beyond funding available from government sources.

Since 1985, TADHF has transferred more than $49 million to TADH, providing funds essential to ensure our hospital and healthcare teams can deliver the best in specialized care to patients in the district.

Our ultimate goal, with the assistance of our donors, our volunteers, Hospital staff and health care professionals is to provide the best health care to our community.
