No foul play suspected
KIRKLAND LAKE - The Kirkland Lake Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Kirkland Lake Crime Unit, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, Acting Detective Inspector Chris Loam, are investigating a sudden death at the Beaverhouse First Nation.
On Friday, August 8, 2014, at approximately 9:30 a.m., the Kirkland Lake OPP received a call to assist ambulance with a female party.
Police arrived and discovered a female, Laura Landriault 50, of Kirkland Lake Ontario who was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A post mortem was conducted on Monday, August 11, 2014 in Toronto at the Centre of Forensic Sciences.
As a result of the post mortem, foul play is not suspected in this investigation.
