On Saturday 03 August 13 at 5:00 am Hearst OPP were alerted to a complaint of a home entry and sexual assault on a 9 year old female child. The child was staying at a residence in the Town of Hearst when a male entered the residence while the occupants were sleeping this is when the alleged sexual assault had taken place.
The male then left the residence and the young girl notified the adults. Police were contacted and as a result of an investigation a male was arrested and taken into custody.
The man has been identified as Brett Jason BAXTER age 20 of Constance Lake First Nation, Ontario. He has been charged with the following offences.
· Break & Enter Dwelling House commit Sexual Assault Section 348(1)(b) contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
Mr. Baxter has been remanded into custody and will be appearing in Hearst Bail Court on Tuesday 06 August 2013. Police are continuing the investigation.
