Ontario reports 340 new COVID cases Sunday

Sunday's report includes 373 recoveries and three deaths

Public Health Ontario reported 340 new COVID cases today.

The latest updates noted 373 recoveries and three deaths.

The Oct. 31 updates provided by the province's public health agency and the ministry of health also reported the following data:

  • 3,015 active, lab-confirmed cases, down from 3,050 yesterday. 
  • 104 people are hospitalized with COVID-19.
  • There are 108 COVID-positive patients in the ICU plus another 25 patients no longer testing positive for COVID-19.
  • There are 71 COVID-positive patients on ventilators and another 17 patients on ventilators no longer testing positive for COVID. 
  • 11,017,767 Ontarians have been fully vaccinated.
  • The new cases include 167 unvaccinated, 12 partially vaccinated, and 117 fully vaccinated cases. 44 cases were reported with vaccination status unknown. 
  • Due to incomplete reporting on weekends and holidays, vaccination status for hospital and ICU admissions is not updated on Sundays.

Public Health Ontario has confirmed 599,955 cases of COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic, and reported 587,069 recoveries and 9,841 deaths.
