One wildland fire remains active in the region

The Ministry of Northern Development, Mines, Natural Resources and Forestry is reporting no new wildland fires in the northeast region as of late afternoon on Canada Day.

The region has one fire, which was confirmed on Wednesday, that is still active.

Timmins 6. which is located 5km east of Scraggy Lake, is active and currently being held.

The fire is two hectares in size as of this afternoon.
