The Timmins Economic Development Corporation (TEDC), in partnership the Timmins Chamber of Commerce is re-launching the New to Timmins Guide. The purpose of the New to Timmins Guide is to provide information on a wide variety of services available in Timmins.
Stemming from recommendations from the Employer Council, the New to Timmins Guide was redeveloped with a new look and enhanced functionality to serve as a go-to guide for newcomers and residents alike.
The guide lists health care, education, community groups and services, sports and recreation contacts and transportation – just to name a few. It has proven to be a successful tool in attracting new employees and is used by numerous companies as a promotional tool.
Fred Gibbons, Chair of TEDC, says “By increasing the profile of the City of Timmins and accessibility to information, the TEDC will leverage the community’s appeal in regards to attracting, retaining, and integrating skilled workers and professionals”.
