A new plant-based eatery has opened downtown Timmins.

The Northern Lights Fauxmagerie celebrated its grand opening this afternoon at 89 Cedar St. S., next to the Victory Tavern.

It offers plant-based cheese and meat to take home, as well as take out or eat-in meals such as sausage on a bun, plant-based burger, and no pulled pork wrap or sandwich.

The Fauxmagerie's doors have only been open a couple of days, and already co-owner Roxanne Carr says they've been very busy.

It's open Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
