Original story:

Highway 11 is closed from Cochrane to Kenogami due to multiple crashes.

Around 2 p.m., OPP tweeted about a crash on Highway 11 that closed the road between Matheson and Ramore.

The closure has since been extended due to collisions and poor weather conditions, said OPP on Twitter.

The number of crashes on the stretch of road is not available on 511.

Today, part of the truck convoy heading to Ottawa protesting COVID-19 restrictions rerouted down Highway 11 from Nipigon to spend the night in Cochrane. These road closures are on the other side of Cochrane.

The other half of the convoy is continuing to take Highway 17 to Sault Ste. Marie, as originally planned. The convoy plans to join back together tomorrow in North Bay to continue on the way to Ottawa.
