Motorcyclist suffers serious injuries in Highway 65 collision

TEMISKAMING SHORES - On Sept. 17, 2018 shortly after 5 p.m. members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision. The collision occurred on Highway 65 north of Highway 65 East in Temiskaming Shores, Ont. A westbound motor vehicle collided with a northbound motorcycle.

The driver of the northbound vehicle, suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the westbound vehicle, Daniel Hackett, 33 years old of New Liskeard, Ont. was not injured. He is charged with:
    •    Fail to yield to traffic on through highway, contrary to section 136(1)(b) of the Highway Traffic Act (H.T.A.)

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
