The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is seeking the public’s help in identifying the individuals responsible for shooting a pregnant cow moose along Kamiskotia Road.

Conservation officers received a complaint the morning of April 29, 2015, of an injured cow moose at the side of the road near Kamiskotia Lake.

The moose appeared to be bleeding from its neck and was unable to stand up.

The moose had to be euthanized because of the severity of its wound.

The calf fetus was also lost as it had not developed enough to survive.

Further investigation determined that the moose had been shot in the neck and spine.

It is believed that the moose may have been shot around 7 a.m. that morning.
