TIMMINS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

The finalists for the 2021 Nova Business Excellence Awards have been selected, as the Chamber has announced business' 45 most riveting owners, operators, and galvanizing leaders of Timmins as finalists at the region's biggest celebration of entrepreneurial achievement.

A total of 120 nominations were submitted across 15 award categories for this year's virtual May 13 award show and were narrowed to three finalists per category by a panel of independent community judges. These finalists will be celebrated under the theme of Nova 2021 – Building Business, to showcase the many ways these entrepreneurs continue to build relationships, bridges, and a stronger community for all of us.

"This year's slate of incredible nominees is yet another reminder that Northern Ontario entrepreneurs are leaders in shaping and moulding the socio-economic landscape, bridging gaps and hammering out key investments that grow our economy through almost every aspect of their business, and they deserve our recognition," said Melanie Verreault, President of the Chamber.

"It's clear from this list of finalists that our local entrepreneurs have continued to construct powerful strategies to stay viable throughout the pandemic, which is why we're looking forward to celebrating the best of Timmins business at the Nova Awards, virtually, on May 13."

Now in its 19th year, the annual awards are dedicated to Timmins business success stories and highlight their positive impact on the region and its economy. As the implications of COVID-19 continue to weigh heavily on local entrepreneurs, this annual celebration of business provides an excellent opportunity to convey consumer appreciation.

"Our businesses consistently work with each other, laying the foundation for lasting relationships and paving the way through 2020. It's why we remain honoured to have spent 19 years making sure their achievements are recognized at the Nova Awards to help us celebrate their ongoing successes."

The Chamber would like to recognize our event partners who, even virtually, chose to continue their support of our local entrepreneurs and ensure a memorable evening for all those involved! Finalists, their family, friends, and supporters will be able to view the awards ceremony on the evening of May 13 via www.yourplacetowatch.com and Eastlink Channel 10 and 610 HD.
