March has been declared Epilepsy Awareness Month in Timmins.

The Seizure and Brain Injury Centre was at City Hall this week to kick off the awareness campaign. To show support for the cause, people are asked to wear purple on March 26.

To celebrate, the organization is also bringing back its Purple Pet Contest.

You can enter by sending in a photo of your pet dressed in purple for Purple Day March 26. There will be prizes for the best dressed pet.

Photos can be sent by mail or dropped off at 733 Ross Ave. E., Timmins P4N 8S8 or email [email protected].
