As a result of a comprehensive investigation by the Timmins Police Service, a local man is facing child pornography and other sex related charges.
Marc Denis MALETTE, 36, of Timmins, has been charged with:

one count of Making Sexually Explicit Material Available to a Child contrary to section 171.1(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada

one count Possession of Child Pornography contrary to section 163.1(4) of the Criminal Code of Canada
-
one count of Invitation to Sexual Touching contrary to section 152 of the Criminal Code of Canada
-
one count of Luring a Child contrary to section 172.1(1)(c) of the Criminal Code of Canada
-
one count of Sexual Assault contrary to section 271 of the Criminal Code of Canada
-
one count of Sexual Interference contrary to section 151 of the Criminal Code of Canada
These charges formed part of a larger, more complex, province-wide investigation which was unveiled at a Provincial Strategy Conference that was held in Toronto this morning where Inspector Blanchette and S/Sgt. Dacosta of the Timmins Police Service were present.
