Local curlers are heading back to the Canadian Police Curling Championships.

Team Robert, skipped by Sault Ste. Marie OPP Const. Charlie Robert, will represent Northern Ontario at the Canadian Police Curling Championships in Halifax this coming April, states a news release issued today.

Other team members include Const. Kyle Chandler of the Greater Sudbury Police Service, Nick Servant of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service, South Porcupine OPP Sgt. Steve Meunier, and alternate Const. Tony Chilton of the Timmins Police Service.

The team earned the berth to Halifax at the Northern Ontario Police Curling Provincial Championships held from Nov. 19-21 at the Sudbury Curling Club.

This is the sixth time Meunier and Chilton are heading to the national championship.

The last time was in 2019 with Team Robert, when they registered six wins and five losses.

Since the last trip, the team has added Servant to its roster.
