A mine safety company is boosting a Timmins homeless shelter.

After a campaign in March, Mine Safety Solutions donated $500 to Living Space.

"I am so pleased for all the support we have gotten for this campaign to generate to help the homeless, the funds will go towards buying more foods to help peoples in need. This is just the beginning, MSS will continue in helping out the community in a variety of different ways," said Anthony Gilin, Mine Safety Solutions president.

The cash was raised in March, by donating a percentage of the net sales of the company's safety gloves.

The company says its goal is to create a stronger community, and it's starting by giving back to the homeless.
