Kidd Operations Adds to the Kobzar Park Rejuvenation Fund

On May 12th, the Kobzar Park Rejuvenation Committee received a donation from Kidd Operations – a Glencore Company to assist with the goal of restoring Kobzar Park.

On May 12th, the Kobzar Park Rejuvenation Committee received a donation from Kidd Operations – a Glencore Company to assist with the goal of restoring Kobzar Park. 

The Kidd Operations “Community Engagement Recognition Program – CERP” encourages and recognizes employees that contibute at least 40 hours towards community projects. Receiving funding today from this program are employees David Yaschyshyn and Dale Bodnarchuk.

" We wish them much success in their efforts to rejuvenate Kobzar Park on the corner of Mountjoy Street South and Second Avenue. The project is beneficial and is aligned with the City of Timmins 2020 Master Plan for Culture and Tourism."

To date the project has achieved 28% of their $25,000 fundraising goal. Community support continues to grow. Fundraising efforts continue from government grants, local businesses, and individuals.
