Kapuskasing woman faces 29 charges after thefts from multiple churches

KAPUSKASING - Between Feb. 11, 2019 and March 18, 2019, members of the James Bay Detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police, investigated numerous thefts from churches in the Town of Kapuskasing, Ontario.

On March 22, 2019, police arrested a female suspect.

Dominique Aubin, 38-years-old, of Kapuskasing, Ontario, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Six counts of break and enter a place - with intent to commit indictable offence contrary to section 348(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC),
  • Five counts of theft under $5000 contrary to section 334(b) CC,
  • Six counts of breach of recognizance contrary to section 811 CC, and
  • 12 counts of fail to comply with probation order contrary to section 733.1(1) CC.

She is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Kapuskasing, Ontario, on April 29, 2019, to answer to the charges.
