Iroquois Falls man accused of assault, threats, intimidation

Ontario Provincial Police have laid charges following an incident in Iroquois Falls last week. 

Police were called to investigate on Jan. 17. The investigation revealed a man threatened bystanders and assaulted another.

Jonathan Theriault, 30, of Iroquois Falls, is charged with:

  • 5 counts adult intimidation – persons or general public, contrary to section 423(1)(a) of the Criminal Code
  • 2 counts fail to comply with recognizance, contrary to section 145(3) of the Criminal Code
  • Assault with a weapon, contrary to section 267(a) of the Criminal Code
  • Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm, contrary to section 264.1(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.

He was held for bail.

He is scheduled to appear the Ontario Court of Justice on Jan. 26, 2017.
