The Timmins Police takes great pride in announcing that special recognition was granted to one of its longest serving members by the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police - OACP.

Timmins Police Insp. Mike McGinn receives was the gracious recipient of a life membership from the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police at this morning's OACP Zone meeting in West Nipissing (Sturgeon Falls).

Presenting the life membership to Insp. McGinn is Chief Paul Pedersen, Greater Sudbury Police Service, who also serves as the OACP’s Zone Director.

This award recognizes the dedication and energy devoted to effective police leadership demonstrated by Insp McGinn throughout his career with the Timmins Police Service.

His colleagues, both with the OACP and the Timmins Police Service, have benefited from the wealth of knowledge he possesses and the readiness with which he applies his work ethic up until his last day as a sworn police officer.
