Teamwork paid off once again as the Timmins Police – Community Services officers engaged in the annual TPS toy drive once again this year.

Thanks to the vibrant partnership that TPS has with the Bargain Shop, and the generosity of Timmins residents and businesses, a host of toys were collected during this year’s campaign.

Families of meager means will be the recipients of this generosity.

Officers and coordinators with Victim’s Services – Timmins who, in the course of their duties and patrols, may become aware of a family in need of a little boost, are encouraged to have these families attend the station to collect a few treasures for some less fortunate children in our community.

Timmins Police Service officers can also deliver these gifts on behalf of Victim’s Services Timmins, in situations where transportation issues may be a hurdle for certain deserving families.

The Timmins Police Service – Senior Administration applauds the efforts of the TPS Community Services Section and their selfless actions in terms of keeping this program alive and fully engaged.
