Here's where the city's removing snow this week

Public works crews will be doing day and night snow removal this week.

According to the City of Timmins, overnight snow removal, which is done between 9:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m., will happen:

• Sunday, Feb. 17 - No removal is scheduled because of the Family Day holiday

• Monday, Feb. 18 - Cedar from Kirby to Sixth, Balsam from First to Sixth, and Birch from Second to Sixth

• Tuesday, Feb. 19 - Shirley, Park

• Wednesday, Feb. 20 - Algonquin Boulevard West from Mountjoy to Mattagami

Daytime snow removal is also scheduled and takes place from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The schedule is:

Monday, Feb. 18

No snow removal is scheduled because of the Family Day holiday

Tuesday, Feb. 19

• Timmins - Christine, Chantal, Philip, Marcel. A second snow removal will be dispatched for Mountjoy as resources become available.

• South Porcupine - William, Cecil

Wednesday, Feb. 20

• Timmins - Hemlock from Fifth to Ross, Hart from Patricia to Ross, Empire.. A second snow removal will be dispatched for Timmins as resources become available.

• South Porcupine - Powell, Broadway, O’Brian

Thursday, Feb. 21

• Timmins - Tamarack from Fifth to Ross, Spruce from Sixth to Ross, Drew, Wilcox, Preston, Rea. A third snow removal will be dispatched for Timmins as resources become available.

Friday, Feb.  22

• Timmins -  Elm from Fifth to Ninth, Maple from Fifth to north of Ninth, Birch from Fifth to north of Ninth, Clifford, Greeningdon, Chestnut Lane, Royale. A third snow removal will be dispatched for Timmins/Mountjoy as resources become available.
