Here's where the city's removing snow this week

Public works crews will be doing day and night snow removal this week.

According to the City of Timmins, overnight snow removale, which is done between 9:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m., will happen:

• Sunday, Dec. 9 – Spruce Street from Lee to Sixth Avenue, Pine Street from Kirby to Sixth, Third Avenue, Cedar from Ogden to Sixth, and Balsam from Ogden to Sixth

• Monday Dec. 10 – Bruce Avenue from Legion to Lakeview, Golden Avenue from Legion to Evans, Main Street from Strachan to Shamrock, Powell from Crawford to Main, Legion from Shamrock to Quebec, Bloor Street from Lakeview to Legion

• Tuesday, Dec. 11 – Birch Street from Second to Sixth, Maple from Second to Sixth, Elm from Second to Sixth, Second Avenue, Brunette from Algonquin to Knox, Railway, Kirby

• Wednesday, Dec. 12 – Algonquin from Highway 655 to Mattagami Bridge

Daytime snow removal is also scheduled and takes place from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The schedule is:

• Monday Dec. 10 – Sterling from Spruce to Delmonte, Lee from Spruce to Mountjoy, Dale from Railway to Elm, Ogden from Spruce to Birch, Moneta from Pine to Mountjoy

• Tuesday, Dec. 11 – Cherry, Burke, Harmony, Howard, Hart from Ross to Howard, Patricia from Ross to Toke, and Leone

• Wednesday, Dec. 12 – Maple from Fifth to Ninth, Elm from Fifth to Ninth, Fifth from Hemlock to Mountjoy

• Thursday, Dec. 13 – Father Costello, Croatia from Battochio to Veterans, Vipond from Father Costello to Templeton, and Grant

• Friday, Dec. 14 – Dwyer, Fourth, Lions Crest, Battochio, Auro Lake
