Here's how much hazardous waste was collected in Timmins

More than 75 tonnes of waste was collected at the city's household and hazardous waste collection last weekend. RogersMedia photo

The results are in from a hazardous waste disposal event.

The City of Timmins hosted the household hazardous and special waste event June 15. 

According to the city, more than 1,400 vehicles attended, with over 75 tonnes of waste being collected.

The items collected includes:

  • 7,100 litres of oil
  • 30,650 litres of paint
  • 400 litres of antifreeze
  • 1,900 litres of aerosols
  • 400 kilograms of pharmaceuticals 
  • 900 kilograms of fluorescent tubes
  • 12,600 litres of flammable liquids
